On Wednesday 7th April 2021 the Russian government approved a formula-based export tax system for sunflower oil and a higher export tax for sunflower seeds. We wait to see the affect this information has on current and new crop pricing, and although we did start to see some offers for new crop, we believe processors may now take a more cautious approach regards new crop contracts.
