Issues with importing into the UK may well continue into Q2 as we transition following Brexit. Vessel space out of Asia is a continued problem meaning container pricing is at an all time high. All of this, as we predicted back in November 2020, means that raw material prices remain firm for most of the goods we trade, however, there could be light at the end of the tunnel. Good crops in late 2020 and early 2021 could rebalance the supply chain and with the possibility of multiple origin options for a variety of products, we could see some softening within certain markets later this year.
